OSHA First Aid Standard 29 CFR 1910.151

In the absence of an infirmary, clinic or hospital in close proximity to the workplace a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. The employer shall ensure the ready availability of medical personnel.

Backed by the National Safety Council (NSC), Vertex Safety Resources CPR-First Aid/AED offers both a video-based, instructor-led or blended course and that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, and children; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults and children.

This course teaches skills with the NSC’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. It also exceeds OSHA’s 1910.266 App B and ANSI Z308.1
