The Authorized Rigging course is designed for telecommunications workers who participate in lifting and rigging operations and require training in the safe selection, inspection, application, and use of rigging equipment. Students receive instruction on applicable regulations and standards, pre-job planning, hazard recognition, sling and rope applications, rigging hardware, load calculations, equipment inspection, signal person responsibilities, and safe lifting practices.

Through classroom instruction and practical application exercises, participants develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely perform rigging activities under the direction of a Competent Rigger. This course provides a strong foundation in industry-recognized rigging principles and prepares workers to actively participate in lifting operations commonly encountered in the telecommunications industry.
