NOTE: If you are in the telecommunications industry and are interested in a rigging course but do not meet the 3 year pre-requisite of this you are still eligible for our Authorized Rigging course.

This comprehensive course provides a thorough exploration of the ASSE/ANSI 10.48 Standard, with a particular focus on load calculations and rigging plans tailored for tower climbers utilizing a capstan hoist for lifting loads. Delivered over a full day in a classroom setting, this course is designed for experienced riggers, qualified personnel, and engineers. Participants will revisit fundamental skills covered in the “Basic Rigging Principles” course, while also delving into advanced rigging standards outlined in the ASSE/ANSI 10.48 Standard. Completion of the course equips students with the skills necessary to develop rigging plans in accordance with the standard’s specifications.

Pre-requisite:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Proof of employment in the telecommunications industry a minimum of 3 years
  • Proof of Authorized or Competent Rigger Certification (must be current within previous 24 months)

Class Size: limit 6 students per instructor

Time: One Day 8 hours classroom instruction

Certification Duration: 24 months (2 years)
